Group Leader
Tjolina Pandey-Proost
At the end of January 2022 I moved with my husband and then 1 year old daughter from the Netherlands to Pasadena. My husband works at Caltech-JPL. CISC gave me the opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world. I missed some activities for parents so I (re)started the Parents and Friends group. Because I am not working for the Dutch government anymore, I have more time now to spend with my daughter, to hike and cook. All things that I love to do. Since November 2022 I also have the honor to be the President. Feel free to contact me for anything related to the CISC. Contact: spousesclub@gmail.com

My name is Shan, I'm originally from China, however I spent over a decade abroad studying and working. U.S. is my fourth home after China, South Korea and the United Kingdom. I consider myself quite "international", I love exploring different cultures and making friends from all over the world. Being a part of the CISC group helps me fulfill that purpose, to meet people and to build friendship especially after I became a mom.

Group Co-Leader
Agathe Langlois
Hi! My name is Agathe. I moved to Pasadena in January 2022 after growing up in France and living in the UK. I discovered CISC while searching for activities to do with my son. I initially joined the Parents and Friends playdates in parks, then expanded to coffee groups, the Casita, Happy Hours, and more. As a French teacher also working in an acting studio and a mom of two young boys, I have a busy and fulfilling schedule. CISC has become a crucial part of my life, helping me form a supportive community of friends who understand my experiences. I enjoy supporting and coordinating various events and groups within CISC and encourage anyone with new ideas to reach out to us.

Qiong Tang
Hi everyone, I’m Qiong, originally from China. I moved to Pasadena from Texas, where I earned my master's degree in engineering mechanics at UT Austin. Currently, I'm a research assistant focused on data-driven surrogate modeling to solve nonlinear mechanics problems. I’m happy to be a member of the CISC community, as it has helped me expand my social circle and meet many friendly people. In my spare time, I enjoy staying with my cat Elizabeth, working out at the gym every other day, and hiking with my husband on weekends. Additionally, I find gardening to be a fantastic way to relax, and I have planted various vegetables and flowers in North Avery Garden on campus at Caltech, feel free to visit the garden at your convenience :)
