Capoeira Class

Capoeira is a Brazilian Martial Art that combines elements of self-defense, balance, acrobatics, music and culture. It was developed by enslaved Africans in Brazil at the beginning of the 16th century and now a days it is practiced worldwide.

Classes take place every Wednesday in the lobby of the Caltech Center for Student Services. Everybody is welcome to join the class, including kids (5 years old or more). It is important to wear comfortable cloths (t-shirt and pants are preferable).

The class is divided in two part, the first part (30min) is stretches to warm up the body, and the second part (30min) is to learn and practice capoeira movements.
